About Total Futsal
By Ben Stevens, Founder & Editor, Total Futsal
Quality, independent journalism that speaks the language of futsal (and doesn't have any pop-up ads that make it borderline unreadable).
That's my offer to you.
I am a qualified sports journalist that has spent the past seven years falling in love with futsal and all its intricacies.
From the fascinating English sub-culture to the finer, technical details that make it such a riveting watch at all levels.
I first played the sport at the University of Liverpool in 2019 and since then have gone on to play in the National Futsal Series while building a futsal journalism profile that has seen my writing featured on platforms such as BBC Sport and the Liverpool Echo, and taken me as far as the courts of Buenos Aires and Boca Juniors.

Why does Total Futsal exist?
English futsal has long been missing an independent media platform that understands it's rhythms and untapped potential.
I have seen first hand the depth of talent and love we have for futsal here.
From Portsmouth to Sunderland, and everywhere inbetween, there are players and clubs doing the sport justice every single day, on and off the court.
They deserve a platform. A place to be celebrated.
And here it is.
Putting English futsal on the map.
What can you expect from the platform?
Whether you've come to this page as a die-hard futsal head, or a complete newcomer who has only the faintest idea, you can guarantee the following from Total Futsal:
- Independent journalism that, at its heart, celebrates futsal's culture, development and diversity.
- Stories of people and communities being brought together by sport, that you won't find anywhere else.
- Knowledge, research and the most up-to-date, topical content from a qualified journalist who works full-time in futsal.
- The opportunity to learn more about the intriguing history of a sport which often takes the path less walked.
- Becoming part of a community supporting a common goal, with a shared love for futsal.
All bias aside, futsal really is the best sport in the world.
You just might not know it yet.
Why should you become a Total Futsal member?
In a time where football's heaving expanse consumes itself a thousand times over, I have developed a deep and rewarding relationship with futsal, one which I think there is a growing appetite for amongst sports fans in England.
To that end, I would love for you to join Total Futsal, be a part of the journey and support independent journalism through the growth of this platform.
The membership fee, £3 a month or £30 a year, was chosen with affordability in mind, while enabling me to sustain and develop Total Futsal going forwards.
Plus, the first month's free, so you can cancel anytime, free of charge if you decide it isn't for you.
I (probably) won't be offended.
Every single subscription, read, click or share makes the hard work worthwhile, and I truly appreciate it.
Let's put English futsal on the map together.
